BT has one internship opening for the spring 2009 semester.
EVENT PLANNING INTERNSHIP
Building Tomorrow is looking for a well qualified individual to serve as our Event Planning Intern for spring 2009.
The intern will work with the organization's Executive Director to
fully plan and carry out the second annual "Build-A-School Night"
charity auction. (The first Build-A-School Night was attended by 220
people and raised $33,000.) Responsibilities will include, among
others: obtaining items to auction, contacting local businesses and
restaurants for sponsorship and support, advertising, and general event
management & logistics. The intern will gain invaluable experience
in the non-profit sector.
The ideal candidate has:
· Event Planning Experience
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Ability to organize time and work independently, follow directions and pays great attention to detail
· A creative mind and ability to 'think outside the box'
· A working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Flash and InDesign
· Willingness to work at least 20 hours per week
Eligibility: Undergraduate or graduate students in good academic standing.
Location: BT National Offices—Indianapolis, Indiana
Duration: Spring 2009 (Start/End Dates Negotiable)
