Photo of the week: ISSBs for the future BT Academy of Bubeezi

Share

The future BT Academy of Bubeezi, supported by The Engage Network, is BT’s first to be constructed using interlocking stabilized soil brick (ISSB) technology. The technology allows for bricks to be made on-site, out of local materials, by members of the community, with significantly less mortar and cement than clay-fired bricks and sans any form of firing. Approximately 24,000 ISSBs are needed for one BT academy.
