In order to achieve the Millennium Development goal of Universal Primary Education, Uganda needs to build 4988 classrooms annually between now and 2015. Currently, about 2786 get built each year.
Learning inside of a well-built school raises the standard deviation of student achievement by 10 percentage points in sub-Saharan Africa.
the program.
BT HS interns will work within their schools and communities to raise funds and awareness to support existing and future BT Academies.
Each intern commits to:
+ Hosting at least two large events to support BT each semester
+ Speaking to at least 1 new group (class, organization, etc.) each week about BT
