We were disappointed to learn that the Anti-Homosexuality Bill has become law. At Building Tomorrow, we envision a world where every child with a desire to learn has a safe, permanent and local place to do so. Every school we’ve opened in Uganda serves as a source of pride and a catalyst for personal and community growth. Our hope is that our schools and students will grow to value diversity, inclusion, and basic human rights for all. Our goals are in unison with the goals of the Ugandan Constitution and international law which strive to respect the rights of all individuals and to protect them from discrimination and violence. The disappointing new law serves to underscore the importance of continuing to invest in the education of the next generation.
